Aalto University adopted TK-Team's column boards in its new Kide building's teaching facilities completed in 2023 to enhance the use of space and the learning experience. The most significant benefit of column boards is the clear writing surfaces, whose height can be adjusted to ensure that every student can see the lesson.

The use of custom-sized writing boards is central to the efficient use of space, which enables a large writing surface. The reflective surface behind the column boards adds value by allowing both a writing and a reflective surface on the same wall.

At Aalto University, using either a steel enamel or a chalkboard surface offered by pillar boards was useful, as it diversified the teaching spaces and allowed teachers to choose the most suitable board surface for the requirements of each space.
